Ward Law is honored to announce that it has received the renowned Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from the distinguished Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Since 1997, the WBENC has been committed to helping woman-owned businesses thrive. As the largest third-party certifier of woman-owned businesses in the nation, the WBENC Certification is the most widely recognized and respected national certification for women-owned businesses in the U.S. WBEs are provided unparalleled access to purchasing decision-makers of top corporations, as well as local, state and federal government entities.
In order to be recognized as a WBE, businesses must undergo a rigorous 4-month screening process, during which they must demonstrate that they are at least 51% woman-owned, managed, and controlled. WBENC certification utilizes a meticulous two-step verification process.
- Businesses must submit an in-depth application, along with necessary documents.
- The Regional Partner Organization then conducts a thorough site visit interview with the female owner(s).
Only once a Certification Committee, composed of volunteers from certified WBEs, corporations, government and community organizations, approves a business are they then WBE-certified.
“I hope that Ward Law can be an inspiration to women, especially to those in the legal profession,” said Jennifer Ward, founder and owner of Ward Law. “That’s why the work of the WBENC is so vital. It shows all of the brilliant and talented women out there that it can be done.”
Ward Law would like to thank its team and clients for their commitment and continued support.
