Xiaoyu Pu (pronounced Click Here) is an Associate in the Philadelphia office. Xiaoyu focuses on representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, wrongful discharge, Family Medical Leave Act, and vicarious liabilities.
Xiaoyu also represents clients in Professional Liability matters. Xiaoyu defends professionals such as lawyers, architects, engineers, accountants, and real estate and insurance professionals against claims of malpractice, errors, and omissions.
In the area of General Liability, Xiaoyu is experienced in litigating premises, product and automotive liability matters, defending both corporations and individuals. She has also handled matters involving slip-and-falls, automobile negligence, premises liability, vicarious liability of employees, negligent security, false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, strict products liability, negligent product design and manufacture, and various other areas.
Xiaoyu received her Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During law school, Xiaoyu served as a Staff Editor of the Drexel Law Review. She was also a member of the Drexel Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and assisted start-up companies with transactional legal services, including entity formation, Stockholder’s Agreements, Bylaws, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy. Xiaoyu received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Enterprise Tax and Entrepreneurial Law Clinic.
Before joining Ward Law, Xiaoyu worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm where she assisted attorneys in removal defense, special juvenile immigrant cases, family and employment based permanent resident petitions.
Xiaoyu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
