Renee Harris is an Associate in the Philadelphia office. Ms. Harris focuses primarily on a variety of labor and employment claims, including race, age, gender, pregnancy, gender identity, national origin, disability discrimination, sexual harassment, FLSA overtime claims and collective actions, FMLA, harassment and retaliation claims. She also defends cases involving wrongful discharge, whistleblower, breach of fiduciary duty and contract disputes.
In the area of Professional Liability, Ms. Harris defends professionals against claims of malpractice, errors and omissions. These professionals include Lawyers, Architects and Engineers, Accountants, Insurance Agents/Brokers, Real Estate Agents/Brokers, Medical Professionals and Directors and Officers.
In the area of General Liability, Ms. Harris is experienced in litigating premises, automotive and product liability matters, having defended corporations and individuals. She has defended matters involving slip-and-falls, automobile negligence, premises liability, vicarious liability of employees, negligent security, false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, strict products liability, negligent product design and manufacture, and various other areas.
Ms. Harris attended Temple University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management. She immediately followed that with obtaining her Juris Doctorate at Widener University Delaware Law School, where she served as a Cares Act Fellow for Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania as well as a Sub-Regional Director for the Mid Atlantic Black Law Students Association.
During law school, Ms. Harris gained valuable and practical legal experience as a Summer Associate and Judicial Extern. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lillian Ransom of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, where she drafted complex memoranda and judicial opinions.
In her spare time, Ms. Harris enjoys trying new restaurants, watching documentaries, and spending quality time with family.
